The dot on the watch indicates WOO state and connection at the same time. Red or green indicate that watch is connected to WOO and WOO is in the given state (red or green light blinking). When the dot is grey, it means watch is not connected to WOO. No need to do anything - watch is actively trying to reconnect to WOO and will do so in 10-20 seconds after you get back to your board

Does the woo device has any special sensor which fenix 6 does not? Otherwise I don't understand why garmin is not developing an algorithm for measuring jump heights. They could sell much more watches...

Yes, the woo has accelerometers that Garmin doesn’t. They are there specifically to measure jump height. Garmin sells 100x more watches to runners and cyclists than kiters, and they would never use jump height.

Hi All, I've created a new Data Field for Garmin watches

Minimum speed in last number of seconds, universal:

It displays minimum speed reached during the last given number of seconds (number of seconds is selectable in app's settings, 30 by default). You can also change speed units in settings. Ideal for short runs to see the minimum speed reached, without getting distracted by looking at the watch during the run. I came up with this data field for hydrofoiling, where it is difficult to look at the watch while trying to get the lowest speed. It is usefull when you test your gear (like new wings) for a low end speed.

I also created a universal version of the Max Speed app (with selectable units and time period) - updated links in the first post.

Hello, I got an instinct solar Garmin watch as a gift (never had one before) and don’t seem to be able to get a kite specific activity in the watch. The connect app does not have one and all the other ones seem to be for other models. Am I doing something wrong? I don’t seem to know how to use it yet

It's that simple! Garmin does not consider kitesurfing a popular sport.

Garmin Instinct doesn't support 3rd party apps. You can just use "Other" activity type, if it exists on Instinct.

Jumping on switch side the watch doesn't pick up the jump, no problems with jumping regular picks up all jumps, i'm getting the same idea of height on switch jumps as with reg jumps so it's definitely not a case of switch jumps being below a metre.

Do you mean that going left (or right) the watch shows jumps, but it doesn't show them going the other way? If that is the case, it is WOO that not registers those jumps, not the watch (unless you somehow have watch disconnected from WOO going one way).
