Hi
Can anyone review the newer models of the Naish Stomp, upwind a ability, flex, rocker line, knee killer etc. I am especially concerned about how well it goes upwind.
Thanks.

Did you get the 2020 stomp? I have the Naish Monarch 135x41.5 2018 and I weight about 68kg, ridding mostly in choppy waves ocean. The Monarch isn't optimal in under 20 knots and I am looking for something new for this type of conditions, maybe the KL 137, stomp 138/142 or drive 138/142 I don't know..

What is it that you don't like about the Monarch? I would have thought it is perfect especially at under 20 knots (if anything you might want to go smaller over 20 knots unless you are unhooking). The Monarch rides bigger than its length. The Stomp will be worse in low wind

Yeah spot on. The Monarch actually does decent in low wind due to it's wide tips and pretty flat rocker line. Stomp is like a banana, just like the Limited/Drive that I have. Now that said, I'm pretty amazed how well that Drive goes upwind. I haven't ridden the Stomp to comment. KL Pro is just a Monarch with different graphics and 5.0cm fins (Monarch rides better with 5.0 fins too)in a 132 and 137 size.

I think bigger size than 135 will float easier and will take less energy to ride in a choppy sea, boost higher. Maybe the Drive is the best option for under 20 knots thanks to different rocker and more volume in the 138 version.

Hi
Got the stomp 2020 138 and I’m 66kg. and I must say I’m more than impressed by it. Goes upwind really good, amazing grip and pop, had to put smaller fins on it.
The rocker gives you superb landings, it could have some flex maybe but then I think you would comprise all the good things above. I’m coming from the SS ASYLUM.
I could maybe have gone with 135-...

Hi Kehler,
Considering both the stomp and asylum. How do they compare? Is the stomp lighter? Thanks

Hi.
I have both and the stomp is 200 grams heavier than the asylum but have a lower rocker line. The weight on the stomp is not a problem. I world say the stomp is better upwind but with a lower rocker and lower flex, it’s a bit harder on the landings.
Both boards are super good.
I like to both with small fins, 30mm.
