Why do you think they went with black, awful for the sun, is it a slim divinycell board?
Looks like 11ish liters...
Interesting

Black is definitely not the best color choice, especially if you live in a very sunny country as I do. I already own an F-One Slice 5'1'' carbon which is pretty light and very strong at 2.8kg complete, so 2.3kg for the Magnet sounds unreal.
Not sure what this new construction layup is, but can imagine that we could have in the near future 2kg pocket hydrofoil boards at "affordable" prices. Magnet is priced like F-One's mid-range surfboards. Exciting times.

Abt light pocket boards, for example my Moses T22 is 1960 grams and it's "cheap".
But back to Magnet; really interesting board. Finally bigger manufacturers are bringing thinner boards. I find thinner really good; much easier to do real flex in to a foam board. Currently riding customs which are 1,25". Board feel when riding is much better than with thicker boards.

Are the boards eps? Never ridden an eps that thin, not sure it would be strong? Or is it divinycell?

T22 is tiny and has no adjustable mast tracks . Pocket boards in the 120 to 130 cm range from top manufacturers with tracks these days weigh in at around 2.5kg. If you are into Moses T45 is a good example at 4'2'' it weighs more than the bigger Magnet (5'1'').

From a pure graphics perspective I think it looks so sick. F-One aren't exactly rookies so I wouldn't expect it to explode in the sun or anything.

True so many brands making black boards with the carbon visible and no one seems to worry.
