Hi everyone,
I am a beginner and my question is pretty simple: "Does wakeboard work for kiteboarding?"
Thanks,
Renato

Only if your really powered up, then they are loads of fun. Tons of pop.
Problem is they generally have too much rocker to be very efficient at planing, so they are super power hungry and go don’t go upwind worth a crap.
Fun in a slick on The right day, but not a daily driver.
If your new to the sport, do yourself a favour and get yourself a slightly big standard kiteboard with straps. Once you can confidently go about the sport and staying upwind is no longer an "if", then you can try your wakeboard. More likely you'll end up on a wake style kiteboard.... so moderate to high rocker for a kiteboard (very low to low moderate for a wakeboard) with boots. Boots that are easy to get in and out of are best.
If you try to learn the sport on your existing wakeboard...... I would give even coordinated athletic quick learners about a 30% chance at getting past the beginner stages of kiteboarding. For the same person on the right board, that number goes up to 99.

30% vs 99% is very much exaggerated. Especially for quick learners.
The board is not that different, it's not perfect but it's not that awful either.
If TS already has a wakeboard and doesn't want to spend too much, I'd say to definitely try it with the wakeboard.
It will be easier with a beginner kiteboard though.

Some do some don't. I have done both use a kiteboard for wake and a wake board for kite. Your better off with a kite board for kite. 2nd hand or last years stock can be pretty cheap to get.

I kited on my kids’ foam skimboard once so a lot of things could be ridden.
Yet for a beginner you’d need less rocker, larger fins and no boots.
Not speaking of kiteboards being much lighter.
