Update. I got the kite back from AirTime, the company Naish contracts with for repairs, and they completed the double-stitching to the wing tips. It looks good to me.

Re: 2018 11m Naish Pivot design/manufacturing flaw?

Update. Yesterday I pumped it up hard and did a sound-side downwinder for an hour at Cape Hatteras and seems fine. Crossing fingers it all holds up for long enough to justify the price of this relatively young kite.

Naish contact is apparently not comfortable stating whether this is a design flaw with these 2018 11m kites or a manufacturing error with mine. Naish surely knows the answer.
