My bridle line snapped in the 2nd session (duotone rebel 2021). The customer service was good. I don't think the lines them selves are the problem, but how they splice the lines is. Most of the lines break at the exact same spot.

A splice with a 60-80mm bury with straight cut line is the Asian standard, haven't seen it otherwise yet.

A line will last so much longer with a proper splice and it only costs a few seconds extra to make. But they prefer to spend money on marketing instead of making good gear...

Duotone produces a what’s new booklet that covers all their current kitesurfing products. This is the latest and includes the d/lab juice.

I’m not sure what you are specifically asking?

How many reports of a broken bridle line on a 2021 are you aware of?

Only read this one; if its really an issue the community needs to gather a case load and send it to Duotone so they can re-examine their manufacturing output / QA.

How durable are the lines on the new trust bars? The lines look thinner and it looks like they would wear out after a few sessions.

Didn’t they also change to thinner bridal lines on the 2021 kites?

Here I can offer some feedback as I recently got one of the mew trust bars with the newer line materials.

I put about 10 sessions of 1.5-3hrs each loading up full power (40-50 ft jumps with powered kiteloops) for a 214lb man.

Lines were crispy, responsive, did not stretch and did great overall. Aside from the older line material I also have two Clickbars with Liros SK-99 line material so I can compare vs the older lines in brand and also across other SK 99 dyneem line products.

Big thumbs up.

Where I cannot offer feedback is in the issue of long term abrasion. Give it a year and I’ll probably be your best info source on that subject. I have take. To washing my custom Liros SK-99 linesets and putting them in the Duotone clickbar bag with the mesh to reduce abrasion altho thats just a precaution on my part.

I only have a few sessions on the new click bar but it appears to me that it is indeed and upgrade from the old lines.

The weaves is tighter and the lines have less stretch. So I am optimistic that the lines will wear better.

I also had converted to liros sk99 lines on my click bar and I think the néw duotone flite99 lines feel very similar,

I can’t comment on all the kites but the evo sls does have new bridle lines that look very much like liros sk99 lines to me.

There are a number of little things on the evo sls, like smaller rub guards, webbing loops instead of line for bridle attachments, penta tx for the batten pockets, to name a few for reducing weight.

I had my evo sls 8m out for it’s first ride today but was way overpowered and had to come in and get my 6m evo.

Still it felt very good like a stiffer evo.

Good news! I'm getting sick of telling beginners that their brand new lines on the most expensive bar on the market are out of tune because they are junk. Definetly keep watching them and let us know if there has actually been a wear/tuning improvement.

Steering with crossed lines test, with loads on the front and rear lines close to actual when riding a TT.
Test method calibration is ongoing.
Two more SK99 lines with similar diameter/strength will be tested as benchmark (Liros DC-401 and a new line from Braidtech).
More on this in the coming weeks.
