For anyone wondering,

Got confirmation today from the boys at MAC kiteboarding that ALL LINES are the new Flight99 including the 5th line add-on if needed.

Gonna get one - prefer the simplicity of the TRUST BAR - just MHO...

Cheers,

Mc

5th lines are being made as we speak :) I ordered one with my bar and got the old one ;) .... kind of useless cause in click 5th line kit replaces a flying/power line.

I bought the new Dice 2021 in 10 and 13m grey pink. Looks way better than in photos.

Overall little change as mentioned here. The only thing i could tell was different line materials and no 5th line.
The kite flies a bit more soft compared to 2020. Overall great hang time, as before.

Couple questions for you click bar users.

What is the largest kite you will fly with the larger click bar? I demoed a 2020 12m evo on the smaller trust bar (same width as larger click) and I found it to be slower than I would like.

Is the click bar worth it for the auto untwisting lines only? I like to do a lot of loops and rotations but don’t adjust trim usually more than once per session so that aspect interests me less.

Thanks

Absolutely worth it... I use my large clickbar with dice 12 and it goes perfect. In addition 2021 lines make the kite more responsive.. So in this way it will improve your feeling in terms of turn speed and steering.

Same here, also bought it mainly for the untwisting part and clean look (no dangling parts). There are more players on the untwist part but nothing beats the clickbar yet in my view

I fly my 15m Rebel on the larger click bar, but I also don't care if the big kite is slow. The clicker thing is neat, but I find it easier to use the normal cleat system.

I'm constantly looping/rotating and the auto-untwist feature is nice. But, I've gone back to the trust bar for 2 reasons:

1. It's a very heavy bar compared to the trust bar, which isn't lightweight either.
2. The auto-untwist sometimes get caught / stuck when sheeting out after a rotation/loop. This has caused a few hairy moments of frantic manual untwist before hitting someone/thing. I suspect a bit of silicon spray on the PU tubing would work, but others have said it's a bearing issue.

In the end, it comes down to personal preference. Demo one and see if you like it. If the auto-untwist was quite important, I'd look at the Core bar for the similar high Y setup. Alternatively, you could get the Y splitter from a click bar and put it on another bar, which is what I'm likely to do with my next bar purchase.

Same here, have the 2021 Click bar and its my 3th. To me it's a no brainer. Use it with my 6,8,11 Rebels and 15m Juice. The cleanness and auto untwist is great and the new 2021 lines are a big plus, kite's fly more direct. I don't quite understand how some people say it's a heavy bar, coincidentally I compared it to my buddies new F-one and Naish bars last weekend and they are even heavier! Sure there are lighter bars out there but what difference does that make unless you foiling? Also with all three bars I have never had a problem with a fixed tube or that the auto untwist does not work and I also loop a lot.

You won´t find a lightweight bar at Duotone. In my opinion, weight of a bar does not matter if you are doing normal TT riding. It does make a difference though with large foil kites in very light wind while foiling.

I own 3 Click bars and it´s a maintenance issue. Maintenance means 10 minutes per season to dismantle and clean it and the 10 seconds you need to rinse your bar after you´ve used it, especially in salt water. I´ve talked to many people who are now back with the trust bar and all of them said that they did not even do that once because for some weird reason they thought it wouldn´t require maintenance.
