2. Center lines below V are or look the same as previous years and are getting deteriorated too fast, new lines are stronger and when they are crossed could be the reason of a fast deterioration.
Could you please post a photo of this part of the center lines?

And contact Evan for a reliable solution ;)

Hello, i have got the exact same issue.... bought the bar in October, used 10 times and the safety line start to wears out despite being washed every single time after the session. Also the bar has the same wear as yours. What do you guys think? Not too sure when the wear of the safety line is becoming risky... when do you need to replace it?

Hi there,

Mine is 2021, different grip so I can’t help with that.

The safety line, keep following up, you might need to change safety line and tube as it is rubbing the line.

Mine got to this point after 2 month and changed it. I will change it again soon with a new tube.

wow, thats a lot of wear. I am very surprised, i had a crazyfly bar for 5years and didn't have these kind of issues. Read somewhere that it might be because there is too much tension on the safety line and that somehow you can adjust the length of the safety line. Something to do with some knots. I dont have access to my bar this week, but when am back will check if something can be done to so that there is less tension on it. Will keep you posted

It’s a loaded line. I don’t see how you could reduce the tension. All that would do is lengthen the line and probably make it fly to one side.

You can see the wear right after the tail of the splice which is about where it enters into the square tubing, there could be a burr on the tubing entry.

Also you have to keep the line clean, you get any sand in there and it wears really quick.

I get much longer usage if I rinse out the tubing from the top after each use.

The problem in my mind is it is rather expensive to replace the red line since duotone sells the kite with both front lines.

Infexion has a setup where you replace only the line going through the black tubing,

https://www.infexion.eu/brand/duotone/

I’have set I am using to foil on with thin lines. So far so good. The part going through the tubing is constructed differently being doubled spectra line with a sleeve. Hopefully it will last longer.

That's what i am not sure about. Why should the safety line be loaded? usually its unloaded.

That's not the way we get innovation into our products  but tbh I can't see how they could do it differently. It's loaded to allow for the line to rotate itself back after loops/rolls.

The change provided by Evan (invented by Foil) seems like a real good solution to be able to replace only the part that is needed.

It’s loaded because it can be. You don’t need a loaded depower line to have lines untwist but it does make it simpler and more reliable.

With a front line adjustment systems you can’t load the depower line all the way to the swivel. You also have to have some way of taking up the slack in the depower line or let it flop around.

The rear line adjustments of the click bar allows the depower line to remain a constant length and so you can run it all the way to the leash.

This provides a simple and clean front line arrangement which is where most of the loading is.

Duotone could look at the path through the black tubing and or material of the depower line.

Doing something like what infexion has where the piece that wears can be easily replaced for a very modest cost would be a step in the right direction.

How you use your chicken loop? Suicide mode o normal mode?

I think using the o-ring of leash attachment in suicide mode helps to avoid this damage because you keep all your red line inside the tube all the time.

If you use in normal mode, when you land your kite and red line loose the tension, it drops to the sand due to the weight of o-ring and leash. When you put back the red line inside the tube you automatically are introducing sand in the tube and it will increase the possibility of wear.

I always use my clickbars in suicide mode and have no problem of wear in safety line...
