Liquid Force wow on twin tip?

Postby Sualc79 » Thu Jul 02, 2020 5:46 pm

What is your opinion when using the wow with twin tip?
For normal fun freeride, I do not do any advanced tricks or unhooked. Maybe you can compare it to with other kites😀 I have got a good offer, but I cannot test them easily. Also if I buy them I might not be able to sell them again, since LF is not in business no more😬😬

Probably the wavekites that performes the best on a TwinTip. The V3 boosts even a tad more than the V4.
I weigh 100kg and usually ride Boots on the TT and I really love the WOW V3 for a good old boosting session. And for loops, it catches you super fast.

If you have any specific questions or concerns, just feel free to ask.

How would you compare it to like a pivot or something simmilar, is there something you are thinking that you are missing or something you cannot do with a Wow.

Both are shit for unhooked riding, maybe with slight advantages for the Pivot :D

For hooked TT-riding the main difference is probably the Kiteloops. The pivot flies in larger circles and therefore generates a bit more pull during Kiteloops.
The Wow is faster and it's radius is smaller so if you want some punch in Kiteloops you actively have to steer it in a larger circle. For me that's not an issue, I'm glad if my Kite catches me asap after my small pu**yloops :'D

I have just bought wow v4 only from reading reviews😀👍Was out on a 12m, and it is true to the reviews, conditions was 14-16knts on tt. I weigh 200 pound.. I had a lot of fun, it is very quick and responsive. I did some big nice floating jumps and loops. Bar pressure is comfortable👍 Pumping it up was so easy, I was coming from an older kite with the 8mm valve, normally I need to take a brake when pumping, with the wow it was so easy and quick😀
All in all a very nice, fun and effortless session..

Wait a minute: 200 pounds is 100 kg, right?
And on a TT on a 12 in 14-16 knots?

I can barely jump on an 18!

Do you have pictures or video of such big floaty jumps?

I normally use m/s, i dont think i have calculated wrong... but around 7-8 m/s it jumped very well.. If you cannot jump on a 12m in 8m/s i think you should practice jumping.... The comment about jumping is for those who would like to know how the wow jumps since it is a wave kite..
