Hi, I'm interested in the UFO for the summer breezes here in Sydney 18-25kn. I was looking at the 5m but after reading this thread I feel I'm asking for a 4m which doesn't exist...
I'm 79Kg on axis 680 surf foil.
I’d ride a 3m ufo in those winds, but a 4m is definitely needed. You should write to slingshot customer care.
Urrgg that is annoying. Thanks for confirming though. I guess I'll have to go with a mono strut 5m.

Depends on which monostrut. The 4m Ghost has a pull of 5m SST

And in my opinion the 4m ghost slots in very nicely between the 5m ufo and 3m ufo.

I know the 5m duotone mono single strut also flys big for its size.

It boggles my mind that a company based in one of the windiest spots in the world have not filled in their small kites.

UFO at 7,5,3

And ghost at 8,6,4,2.5

Look at the naish boxer

Sizes: 2.8, 3.4, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8,

Or brm

Cloud E _ 2.2 _ 2.8 _ 3.7 _ 4.8 _ 6.2 _ 8.0

In my opinion the ufo lineup needs a.4m and likely a 2.5m

The ghost needs a 7,5, and 3m

Wow. This is a fun kite...
I bought the 9m UFO to replace my 9m Ultra V2 and I love the thing. It's lighter and flies much further into the window so it drifts insanely well. It turns crazy crazy fast and the looping is an absolute joy. Paired with the new auto-swivel sentry bar is key so you don't have to constantly worry about your center lines being twisted. I bought a 5m last week and it's less of a wow factor but still very cool and necessary.

I'm at the point where I want only 2 kites (9m and 5m) and I think I may have it with these. I'm 190 lbs so I have no need for something smaller where I live.

TWIN TIP! I haven't seen any posts on the UFO related to twin tip riding so I assumed it was a no go. I was on the 9m the other day and the wind cranked up so I figured why not pull out my small twin tip board. WOW! So much fun. It rides very similar to a foil session. You can throw downloops and kiteloops as you ride normally and just ride a bit down wind. When you pull the trigger it lifts you up fairly quickly and takes you down quickly. Not massive airtime but the kite has so much control that kiteloops in the air are super easy to handle.

At this point I have no need for a bigger kite than a 9m as I'm OK giving up twin tip riding in light wind.

:D

Picked up a 9m and 5m and had the five out in 25 mph with the Zeeko Spitfire and it was pure bliss. The kite handled the gusts easy with smooth power delivery. I was concerned the kite would be too quick and it is quick but not overly so and very predictable. It flaps as much as my OR Flites which is pretty much never. I just love these kites. I'm 100% sold on the UFO's!

I went ahead and got the 5m.

How come there's no pump loop attachment on the kite for when you pump it up and it doesn't blow away?!

Hi and happy holidays. Here's my first session with the Slingshot UFO 7 m. The wind was gusty and on off especially near the coast. I wasn't powered enough to perform foil tacks, jump or 360 but I really liked the kite for Its overall performances.

Happy new year

Cheers

Carlo

Ciao Carlo, I own UFOs 9-7-5m; I am in love with the 5m, I like the 7m and I have doubt on 9m bcz it doesn’t turn as I would expecially in downwind.
I recently bought a second hand Peak4 in 5m and a new 13m 😜 but I didn’t got the opportunity to fly them.
How do you compare the peak 5m vs ufo?
Thnx mate.
