Hydra genetrix v7 9m bar setup

Postby Amin-O » Sun Jul 12, 2020 6:38 pm

Dear all
I’m a happy user of genetrix hydra v7 in 9m2 (year 2017)
But unfortunately I lost my bar !!

As the genetrix kites do not manufactured any more I can’t buy a new one,
As I heared the hydra kites needs different bar setup than the other kite brand (north , best , done, nais,...)

Maybe one of you own the same kite, and can help me to use standard bar (fone, nais, north...) should I shorten the front or the rear of normal bar ? And how long ?

I need your to know the exact length of the line and the trim of the hydra 9m2 v7 year 2017

Thanks in advance for your help
Have a nice riding

I have the Hydra v7 7m & 8m. There was someone selling brand new Genetrix kites including hydra and bars back in March. Not sure if he had any takers.
I can help you out with your measurements if you prefer.

I can't find his original post with pictures.

Hello,
I already see the message of Jeremy (the manufacturer of genetrix) and I sent a message, hope that he will have some remaining bar...

Otherwise if you can gives me some measurements I’ll appreciate a lot :))
What I need the most is :
1- the confirmation of the bar width , I think it’s is 52cm, is it ok ?
2- the position of the full power, if you see the attached photo, the bar is in the full power position, (the trim is in the max power position, the bar is pulled down), normal bar gives the same length between front and rear ,
Is it the case for the hydra v7 too ?
If not what it’s the difference between front and rear in that position ?
3- the trim depower length , if you pull the trim in the minimum power position, how long the front are shortened ?
4- the bar depower length, if you push the bar at the maximum depower position, how long the rear are shortened ?

That’s all and this will help me a lot to check and setup one of my other bar

Thanks in advance
Amine :)

Any bar with large depower works. Just make sure the frontlines are give or take 20cm shorter. Normally there will be some pigtails on the kite it self to compensate that.
