I tested both settings on my 12m Pivot and I prefer "Big Air". The kite goes better in the wind, it jumps very well and the hangtime is amazing. The pivot with heliloop will catch you very well. Kitelooping is also very fast for a 12m kite.

As long as you have it on the fastest turning wingtip setting.
It's definitely a very sweet ride.
Very forgiving and so easy to get dialled in on.
I would always use standard setting unless it is nuking but I love the 12m in 22 knots.
That the fun zone imo.

18-22kts is sweet spot for a Pivot 12m

I get some new fins from naish, they said: don’t tight them to much, thats the problem. I think the problem is that the screws are to short and the new fins are bigger. So there is more power on this fins in the water. But that means more people gonna have this problem after a few sessions. We will see!

In this movie you see the screws not working anymore after my first session. You screw them forever, there is no screw thread left anymore (dutch language):



Maybe, i am just the only one with this problem and its gonna be solved with some new fresh fins! I hope so! Because this board is really nice on the water!

The problem isn't the fin or the length of the screws. Its the wrong pitch. I switched to M6-1.0x18mm It will cure the problem

Anyone problems with the 2021 monarch fins? I lost already lost one.

screws are getting lose after a session. You cannot turn the screws tight anymore. Screw thread is gone.

I thought they would have locktite on them to make sure it doesn't loosen. If they do not, then get some from the hardware store..it doesn't cost much. Make sure you do not get the one that completely locks it down.

Now when that is all said and done I have no idea how anyone can feel the difference between G10 and whatever the new fins are. I am impressed.

My Naish Monarch S25 fins are cheap plastic crap so I changed them to G10 fins... I'm disappointed that Naish are no longer using G10 on their premium boards.

Naish TT fins should be IXEF which is by no means plastic nor cheap. Did they change something this year?
As far I see in their website TT fins are the same as before.
Changing to G10 is not bad, but these are much stronger.

The fins are great ! Its just the cheap screws that come with it. I replaced mine with M6-1.0x18mm they get more bite and will even hook into the fins you think are stripped out

Agree the factory hardware if mostly garbage from most board companies. If upgrading from the factory M6, go titanium. Lighter, stronger, and more corrosion resistant than stainless.
