Anyone problems with the 2021 monarch fins? I lost already lost one.

screws are getting lose after a session. You cannot turn the screws tight anymore. Screw thread is gone.
I thought they would have locktite on them to make sure it doesn't loosen. If they do not, then get some from the hardware store..it doesn't cost much. Make sure you do not get the one that completely locks it down.

Now when that is all said and done I have no idea how anyone can feel the difference between G10 and whatever the new fins are. I am impressed. :thumb:

My Naish Monarch S25 fins are cheap plastic crap so I changed them to G10 fins... I'm disappointed that Naish are no longer using G10 on their premium boards.

I love my 2021 Pivots, especially the 8m and 10m . but I find the 12m to be a beast when overpowered. I have my kites on the outside knot and it will barely depowered in it's upper range. On a good note the low end is very good and I can easily get on my 10m above 18/19mph.

Naish TT fins should be IXEF which is by no means plastic nor cheap. Did they change something this year?
As far I see in their website TT fins are the same as before.
Changing to G10 is not bad, but these are much stronger.

I get some new fins from naish, they said: don’t tight them to much, thats the problem. I think the problem is that the screws are to short and the new fins are bigger. So there is more power on this fins in the water. But that means more people gonna have this problem after a few sessions. We will see!

I think this is to short:

In this movie you see the screws not working anymore after my first session. You screw them forever, there is no screw thread left anymore :-) (dutch language):

Maybe, i am just the only one with this problem and its gonna be solved with some new fresh fins! I hope so! Because this board is really nice on the water!

Fuuuck yessssss!

Has anyone flown their pivot on the "new" bridle setting yet? If so, please tell me how it changes the characteristics of the kite. I imagine it turns faster, but it probably doesn't catch you as well as it normally does.

I tried it on my 12m and can't say I really noticed a difference...I did not loop it, so maybe it's different when looping.

Use the new (Big Air) setting only for the strong wind.

In light/medium wind you'll hate the kite cause it behaves like exhausted weakened shit. You'll be able to ride to the left and right but not to jump high :-)

I flew my 11m yesterday. Didn't try the new setting as the wind was on the lower end of the 11s range.
Still didn't measure the bridle for the guy asking earlier.......shit.sorry.

Rode the Drive Limited too. That board is super smooth, eats chop well and is just fun to carve or go fast. I also traded out the IXEF 4 cm fins for 5cm glass fins. I think the Drive needs the bigger fins more so than the Monarch. It all depends on the rider's preference I guess: loose/skatey or more locked in with better edge hold. No wrong answer, just different.

I have two sets of IXEF 4 cm fins if anyone wants them.
Sharp, one owner, never raced, mint condition!
No reasonable offer refused! LOL

Oh BTW:
Are the 2021 Monarchs carbon this year or still basalt?

I tested both settings on my 12m Pivot and I prefer "Big Air". The kite goes better in the wind, it jumps very well and the hangtime is amazing. The heliloop pivot will catch you very well. Kitelooping is also very fast for a 12m kite.
