Kite size for TT: 13,5m+10,5m+what else?

Postby Madraoulas » Sun Aug 23, 2020 12:13 pm

Hallo, I'm begginer (86kg naked), I like cruising and in low speed.I have RRD Passion 13,5m mk9 (9-19 knots factory specs), RRD Passion 10,5m mk10 (12-26 knots factory specs) TT RRD Placebo 142x45 v7 (I'm waiting for the new RRD 138x42 Y-25)...When I'm full depower with 10,5m (16-20 knots with anemometer, hardly stand in the water waist height) , I want to buy a smaller one kite to feel more comfortable and secure (small chop conditions) but I don't know (I can't demo) the size...RRD Passion 9m ? (13-28 knos factory specs) ..or RRD Passion 7m ? (15-32 knots factory specs) , thre isn't RRD Passion 8m...(I have a RRD Religion 7m that I selling because I need more wind range, this has 19-26 knots factory specs, and is very quick for me now)..Thank you guys fr your answers :thumb:

The windrange for the religions is for surfboards, not twintips. I would stay with the religion some more. On a twin tip, the religion is probably in the range of 21-30 knots. And some more when you get better. The religion is quite good as a beginner kite, lots of beginners use them here in Holland.

My advice....keep your money.

Keep the 7m for later on. Your'l need it on windy stormy days when you gain more experience.

Get an 8m religion. Simple. Works perfect with a 10.5. I haven’t used my 7m since getting the 8. The gap between 10.5 and 7 is a little too much, 9 would be too close for my liking.

I agree with the above . 8 meter would be perfect.
