9m Naish Pivot - 2019 V 2020

Postby BillyGoatGruff » Wed Sep 02, 2020 8:52 am

Is there any significant differences between the 2019 and 2020 Naish Pivot ? (Apart from the inflate valve and external one pump). How is the 2020 for jumpng ? I rode a friends 2019 - 9m and it had brilliant boosting and float.

thanks

From the Naish 2021 thread:

2019 Pivot = 2020 Pivot (+new inflation system & rigidity increasing seam in the canopy) = 2021 Pivot (+new bridle). Yes?

From my POV no significant differences in performance, at least nothing I can feel. I have 2019 and 2020 8m (and the 2021 8m still unboxed, selling the 2019 now...). I am always handing the previous version over to my son who needs the same sizes like me.

10, 9 and 8 are definitely some of the magic sizes!!!
Pivot 8 will remain in my quiver for sure. The last 8 I had is quite a few years ago and I think the kite feels a lot more stable and controllable.

The inflation system is much nicer on the 2020.
I would go for that. Not sure about performance as I have not tried 2019 in 9-10m only the 12m.

Oh yeah the 9 and 10 are crazy jumpers. Going lit on the 9 is next level for me. Yeah the inflation system is nice. I liked the octo for the onepump part, but the nozzle and connection on the new ones are super tight.

The 2019 hasn't got the diagonal stitching on it.
Like the 2020/21
