Back in the day 1989 -95 I could always find a spot at the hatchery knowing where all my friend secret keys were an shufing cars until that one dick parked an RV and screwed it’s for every one. No sympathy from me, long standing pet peeve.
Sorry someone messed your good spot up. I try really hard to do things legal and correct. Am I or anybody else perfect no. Again sorry I feel your pain, having lost many good places to the few abusing it in my world. I could start listing them now but my fingers would probably go numb by the time I do get finished. If we don't work together, we work apart and that is never as effective. :thumb:

Well there lyeth the basis of our disagreement.. I do indeed dwell within a bubble of my own perfection, quite happy in it, happy that is until some 32foot behemoth hoves into view either blocking the highway, or reducing the availability of space for others, whilst consuming God knows how many gallons per hour to have gotten there.
😂😂😂 At least you have a good sense of humor!
I also have to laugh. Yes I know I use a lot of fuel and I do everything in my power to keep it down, drive slow no rabbit take offs keep it well tunedl. So instead of dragging an f350 behind me I carry a 125cc Scooter which gets 65mpg, which is all I use for as long as I stay in an area. So does your daily driving use more or less gas then me? One day 400 miles/7(the I know horrible) 57.1 gallons 2 weeks on scooter 2 gallons, maybe, so in all. 60 gallons for two weeks. What do you use in two weeks 30,40 gallons?? :bye:
a) I'm a Brit so 30 - 40 gallons would in all probability last a few months until..
b) I drive a plug in hybrid, so said gas volume probably lasts a year and finally..
c) In my bubble of total perfection I use Solar Panels to charge said vehicle so I can bask in true green perfection and scoff at, what did I call them again , 'despicable' RV drivers that consume our planetary homes fuel reserves. You may grovel in abject humility before me... in your own time. ;-)

what about No parking available for vehicles bigger than a normal car and extremely rude ticket writers. This was my immediate impression of Fort Hood kiting area.

Darn I can't help to smile a little. One respect, solar and hybrid you are walking the walk. Sincere! Two I've been researching building my own solar panel system and just found out you can back charge your house off of some Electric Vehicles. Solving the problem of a battery bank. 3 not having the public transport systems you have in England such a veh RV is almost a necessity especially in these times. That is if you want to travel at all.

I dunno man. The whole state’s on fire. We can’t go outside because of the smoke. That parking lot you couldn’t get into is now designated as evacuation parking for people close to the wildfires. I don’t really give a shit about what you think of parking enforcement here. Maybe that one guy is an nice person. Sorry. At least your house didn’t burn down.

One thing to also watch for if you go in to a parking lot and there is a guy collecting the money - how do you know he works for the lot? I found this out one morning, so early it was dark, we were getting on a ski train to the mountains and pulled into a parking lot at the train station and paid the guy at the entrance. We got back and there was a ticket on my car so I was able to go in and get them to tear up the ticket since they had a lot people coming in complaining.

One of the ski resort towns has different street parking passes, and different ones for locals and non-locals, seasonal. Parking capacity is always a problem especially on a day with deep fresh snow. I’m usually able to get into a lot at a local park For free and walk in with my gear.

Parking for kitting on Maui has been a problem during the COVID shut down. Friends have told me they closed down beaches and parking lots and restrooms. At times they open beaches but not the parking lots and force people to walk in. And then they keep changing opening and closing beaches.
