Am i the only one that thinks paying $25 to park to kite is ridiculous?!
longwhitecloud FOR PRESIDENT!!!

Unless parking on a private property it should be illegal to have to pay for parking on public spaces.

It's indeed a much better discussion than the covidshit.. so why anyone hints in closing this topic isn't clear to me.

and yes it is rediculus longwhitecloud to pay 25,- for parking .. you didn't get electricity, water and cable TV for that price?

Parking near a kitespot is a somewhat interesting topic. The manner this discussion is taking place is not very healthy however, as the tittle indicates as well.

I went kiting in Switzerland and Austria this summer and had to pay $20 or more a day just to use the launch area and lake. :o

Not complaining, the spots were were pretty good and not that crowded, but if youre not used to it your first reaction is shock (or anger depending on your character].

It´s the Switzerland, stupid!
You have to pay for the air you breathe there. Pretty normal stuff, the Swiss citizens belong to the happiest in the world
Fancy a portion of French fries at the skiing hut? 8 EUR, please!

I don’t mind financial support for things I enjoy - like libraries and overdue book fines. Ski resorts here get up to $35 a day for parking in a covered garage and they get full, then police open street parking. I would pay extra to support better launch sites, showers, bathrooms for kiting.

If I really just wanted to save money, I would quit kitesurfing.

2 feet is not much relative to an RV but that's about 20% of a normal car length so it's definitely ticket-worthy in a coveted parking zone. I would just keep the RV parked there, get a good session in, then leave and pay the ticket later.
