On what planet is wave riding with a kite set it and forget it?
In any location with good waves and side-offshore wind, you can park the kite. It works better with wave specific kite than with e.g. a Dice. I wouldn´t call it "forget", but you don´t have to move it anymore.

The fixed bridle on most duotone kites now must also come with a sacrifice...what is it less wind range? And what are the real pro's and does it balance out or what do you guys think?

Lol its even funnier the second time i read it
"Set-it-and-forget-it drifting true surf experience"
It's a crock of $hit and u should know it. Any decent wave kiter on earth flys the crap out of their kite in order to be in the best position setting up ahead of time regardless of whether they ride a kite marketed as drifting or not.
If you dont do that, you will never progress.
I would replace the " true surf experience"
With " i dont have the first clue what i am talking about"
Post some footy showing otherwise if you want to be taken seriously.

My new Dices arrived! Mint color is really nice.
I hope be able to ride it very soon... But with coronavirus restrictions... Who knows.
See the differences between bags. 12 meters is smaller than older 9 meters bag... We will see how it works in the beach. I miss a lot the external pocket with zipper. Internally you find two pockets but using velcro.
It's very noticeable the target of 2021 in all Duotone range. Even they removed the 5 line bridle, always attached and saved in the leading edge pocket. This year it comes inside the reparation kit.

Damn, these new bags looks horrible, especially compared to these North bags, they are amazing!
No straps at the front anymore to put your board underneath while on a bicycle/walk and no small pocket with zipper for keys/phones, grrr

There are straps but by default those are put to go from side to inside the bag. User can change those to go outside of the bag. In the picture there are the side clips visible on the side of the bag. Straps go inside the bag there.

Exactly. When you have it in your hands, bags are not so bad...

I say that because I always received North and now DTK kites 2021. Now they look big sacks for super markets ..., vegetables, instruments, tents,...etc.

Just a few thoughts here...
Longwhitecloud- I generally agree with you that the marketing crap kite companies put out can be reallyannoying, however I think saying the Dice works as a set and forget kite for waveriding is pretty spot-on. I love the Neo particularly in on-shore waves where you are often sending the kite back-and-forth to match your board. It also seems to be the trend for the past several years for pros, using the power of the kite to run up and then back down the wave. As an old-school wave guy, any chance that I get to be in side- or side-off waves I prefer a more square-tipped kite that seems to sit in one spot without needing any feedback. You park the kite and use the wave, letting it sit in one spot with little to no power as you are more truly 'surfing' the wave. Particularly if you're unhooking on waves a kite like the Neo with its rounded tips seems to want to be moving all the time; it's quicker and prefers to be turning. The Dice will sit in one spot and drift with little power as you use the power of the wave rather than the kite. It looks less dramatic and cool compared to the powered riding of the pros but I'll take that style of wave riding any day of the week.
As far as the bag, it is definitely smaller this year but as far as being a crappy bag? We went carbon neutral with our bags this year. They're made of recycled plastic, mostly bottles that are harvested from the ocean. I realize that the environment has become a political thing and there are some who don't care about that kind of thing but we're doing our best and I'm proud of the work we put into making this happen. They're definitely smaller than in previous years and if you want to bitch that it makes for a tight fit for some sizes I won't argue but I think the construction and design of the bags are top notch. Plus they look super clean with the key/phone/wallet pockets on the inside and the ability to hide the board straps.
Just my thoughts...
