Pivot Inflation Valve

Postby ThickAir » Fri Sep 11, 2020 12:43 am

Probably a stupid question, but I just got a new Pivot and am wondering how the valve works. It seems you push the spring loaded button in the middle to open and close the valve. Are you supposed to open it before attaching the hose? Doesn’t all the air escape after you inflate and take the hose off? Thx

Pin should be in OUT position when inflating and riding, only push to the IN position when ready to deflate and end sesh.....Great system IMO. I love the way it locks in.

It's an on off switch. Push it once if it doesn't work push it again. It's either closed or open pretty simple. In the closed position air goes in but not out. In the open position it goes both in and out so if you pump it up in that position the air will so go out as soon as you take off the hose. I've had that switch in the wrong position plenty of times just forgot about it just push it again and pump up again.

It doesn't hurt anything to have the switch in the wrong position you just get more exercise
