Seat Harness Manufacturers

Postby kjorn » Wed Sep 30, 2020 10:09 am

There are no (easy to find) reviews online of 2019 / 2020 / 2021 seat harnesses.

Would you like to send me a bunch to review :thumb: and I'll post reviews and vids of my sexy 45 yr old man ass in your high tech equipment.

PM me - lol

But seriously, what's a good seat harness for big air? Board off's etc? The Mystic ones look nice, but they seem to be using the old spreader bar compared to the waist harnesses. And without a shop near me to try them on, the sizes and how much back support they offer seems hard to work out from the tiny photos online.

My last mystic had quick release buckles on the leg straps, these would open randomly mid jump! So I cut them off and sewed the leg straps back together. Also, the spreader bar has a welded end and a clip end, this means it hinges on the clip and it feels terrible. I'd like to avoid these issues.

 :cooltext: :yourock:

True, a good reliable seat harness with a higher hook is missing in the market.
Saw the Mystic one, but if they still have those issues.

Ans we need a strong hook, something that won’t break.

As opposed to the rest of us that really need spreader bar hooks that do break

Have Dakine stopped making them then? I know they've shut the HR facility, but it would be a tragedy if they've ceased production of Seat Harnesses and my favorite the Nitrous Shorts.

Yes. Dakine is no longer producing Windsports equipment and that devision of their company is up for sale. Any inventory on the market is it until that devision is sold and hopefully production resumes. For now, I consider Dakine Windsports extinct. :(
If you're a Dakine fanatic, now is the time to load up while you can still find your preferred model and size. :thumb:
