I am very interested with this new harness. I am hesitating between the Elite and the Saber.
But I have a question about this new "Unity Ladder-Lock Straps" mainly about its longevity. I fear that with time, it could not lock completley and could possibly slip.
And because this ladder is made with plastic, I also fear a degradation/crack with time ?
I see no reason why they will not wear out over time. How long that is will probably depend on the rider, and environment that it is used in. The good thing is they are easily replaced. It is something you will have to inspect from time to time and think about replacing. I will say the harness does not slip or ride up when new.

How do you decide on the different widths of spreader bar? Currently listed at (8in / 20.5cm) | (10in / 25.5cm) | (12in / 30.5cm)

@nayone22 - ideally you should try different sizes harnesses and bars combinations. But there is a size chart at RE web site.

Hi,
can anyone that have a unity bar (preferably a 12'') measure the actual length of the bar (from end to end, I am assuming size is in the name itself), the distance between the holes and the width of the flap? I've been riding an hex core XS and a 12'' bar in the last 3 years and the amount of travel that a big bar has is great. I am considering to get a Saber and unity bar in the same sizes.
Thank you in advance!

Hi, 12 " bar:- distance from hinge to hinge 14", distance from hole to hole 9" width of flap 3.5".
After 2 sessions bedding in the memory foam and getting a snug fit on my new Elite harness (M) and unity bar (12"). I can honestly say it's the only waist harness that I have ever owned that doesn't ride up, during the whole of the 3rd session I didn't need to nudge it down from my ribs once. Because of the solid fixed feel of the bar and support to the back due to the direct attachment I was surprised to find I had changed my riding stance on my TT. I'm kiting more upright it's more comfortable and giving me better balance on the board. My stats:- 5' 9" (175 cm), waist 34"-35" (86.4-88.9 cm) current settings on the side straps with a 5 mm winter steamer 2.8. I got the 12" bar based on the latest RE size chart.

Very interesting link, thanks! Looks like the new saber is smaller than the previous prime 2020.

First failure of Unity Bar
Hi Peppe, i checked you are living in Sicily and I offer you a dynabar frame with buckle in strong stainless steel. It's free (I have some left from JAYSTORE production) and you pay only shipment I think around 10€. It should be easy to fit with RE bar pad.
I suggest all brands who are using PA plastic to use stainless steel, it could bend but never brakes. The only option could be adding carbon fiber filament to PA but this technique is too expensive with the current technology.
