Prefer the Rebel vs XR6 for the 11.
For the 8, still good kite but an 8m means stronger winds and other options might work.

XR is a bit more fun to fly pecially in the 11-8 rage. You have more tuning options on the XR to make it more C so a bit more stable or a bit more on-off for waves. I find the Rebel 2020, heavy to fly around the window. Both are equally good jumpers. The X-RAY jumps like the Rebel but feels a bit more like an EVo. More versatile. Mind you two very good kites.

Sucker a friend to buy the other brand. Then try eachother's gear and figure out which one is best.

yes, everything above is correct...to add I would just emphasize the importance of demo'ing each, back to back and then make your call from there. Try to jump and do tricks on each and let your own preference be the driver for the decision. Both kites are the best of the best but they have a different feel. For me, I found the XR to turn a bit better but the Rebel felt a bit more locked into the sky which is what I wanted. Again, its all personal preference so try before you buy.

Just bought XR6 8m & 11m and was considering Rebel and Edge but chose XR because they more all round than other two and seems better quality build.
On plus rebel was cheaper price around 20% better for two kites and bar.
Ozone Edge more expensive than XR6 but it didn't need new bar.

I switched from fone Bandits to XR 12m & 9m this year. I'm 75kg & typically kite 14 - 32 mph. The Bandits are great kites but with the tuning options on the XR's IMO they are better all round kites in many aspects eg jumping, hang time, wind range, high end, stability, better 2nd hand value (2 yr+ cycle life), etc. They are also very reasonable wave kites. So no regrets, I haven't tried the newer Rebels.
