I’ve recently started to incorporate some stretching and balance exercises which I found while following some
people on Instagram.
In particular, I really like a pose which they call Malasana, or squat pose.
I find that it helps with hip flexibility , and also excellent for training your center of gravity to feel your balance and increase sensitivity.
I wanted to get some other Kiter’s feedback on the types of yoga/stretching/conditioning
regimen that are being used.

Kiting brought me to yoga about 10 years ago. It started as a way to prevent injury but I drank the Yoga-aid and dove headfirst into all of it ... daily breathing and meditation. My relationship with yoga has been a little weird; I'll get really into it, practicing daily and then fall out of practice for a while. Lately, I've been following the Wim Hof stuff but I still try and practice 30 minutes at least 3 to 4 times per week. Check out the app downdog and be sure to stretch out those hips and the hip flexors...these can get pretty bound up due to kiting.

I do a 40 min body weight workout every morning which incorporates streching not yoga as such but as a 54yr it's made a huge difference to my overal stamina and movement on the water.

have done including hot yoga/ bikram, do some pilates moves at the moment... great for stretching out ligaments, particularly the back.

I am practicing vinyasa yoga almost daily since earlier this year and it has helped a lot to increase my flexibility and improve posture. I am still a beginner at yoga, but I am absolutely convinced that yoga and kiting is a perfect combination.

I work it into my normal workout routine - typical week is 4 days strength training, 2 days of yoga/stretching, then anywhere from 3-7 days on the water either kiting, foiling, sup, etc. Some weeks I only do yoga/stretching if there's a ton of surf and I know I'll be out in the water for longer sessions. It definitely helps with overall flexibility and staying loose.

Dynamic stretching, facepulls and wall angels every other day was a game changer.
