@TheRussian - to me this also comes as a surprise! I always wash my bar, harness and board with fresh water given that I kite at a spot where there is such an option present. And so far this has been recommended in every kite gear manufacturer's "care instructions".

Canopy, dacron and all lines are coated, the more often you wash it, the faster this coating will fade.

They are not saying "don´t wash your gear".

I think they send a mixed message:
wash after each use, but not too often :-)
or are they changing the stance for S3 only

Maybe there is a difference between wash (using some form of soap/detergent) & rinse (fresh water only)?

That pic and advice is clearly for the 2S as it states..

Stop trying to create confusion and create problems. The statement from Core is clear, the specify lines and kites.

The line coating and the coating on the kite is what they want people to preserve.

The advice on the label you posted is clear and common sense, rinse sand etc out of moving parts.

anyone with half brain knows that you do not wash your gear with soap/detergent unless you putting it out of sale

Official Statement from Core:.........

Also, please do not wash your lines and kites too often, as this will wash the coating off the lines and fabrics over time, which may cause accelerated wear and tear. Of course, you should always keep your equipment sand-free.
Maybe this is just an issue with this problem being new, but I am having a hard time understanding.

"do not wash your lines and kites too often" would indicate that.

1. Given the most a kiter would possibly wash the lines is after each session

2. Core seems to be indicating that this is too frequent

3. Thus it is reasonable to asssume that Core is directing its gear users to not wash the bar every session.

"Of course, you should always keep your equipment sand-free."

1. Unless there is another reccomended method of gently removing sand such as wiping with a dry cloth, or pressurised air

2. And these methods would even work on a wet bar

3. Or drying is required in between sessions

4. Then this bar is not suitable for use at sandy beaches.

How can you rinse a bar with out getting the lines wet?

Hold bar and lines wrapped up dunk or flush c loop and depower lines to rinse off

Easy.
