Yes, I received it on Friday and it looks good. I can't strongly confirm the issue is solved as I haven't released, that's when the problem appears, but it seems solid.

YES, shorter stick is provided in new bars. I'm still using the "initial" stick on my ion apex for 6 months now with no issues but still, they provide an improved & shorter stick to avoid the problem.

Never happened to me, I had to release 3 times during summer and it worked like a charm.

can you take pic of new line and old one to see if there are any differences?

Thanks for the responses dude. Also, could you comment on having to manually de twist due to twists in the flag out lines at the V split that present them selves after the auto unspin of the bar from the 2 pu tubes? Jermey above said it prevents flag out from happening.

I did a lot of backrolls with this bar, as I learned to do them this summer, and I had never to untwist the PU central lines and the ones above the V split do not look twisted, as when you pull/push the bar it untwists "alone". In fact, I had to release after a backroll ( I crashed the kite into a poor girl's kite I didn't see behind me) and the release system worked very well ( it flagged perfectly)

What I can say to you is that I have used the bar for aprox 60-70 sessions since July and I'm very happy with it. FYI: I'm jumping 4-6m high and not doing kiteloops. Normally my sessions are within 15-25knt, so not a hardcore extreme rider (yet ;) )

A friend of mine just received his bar back from Core.
It got updated due to the problem mentioned in this topic.

Now it has the same material like the Sensor 2.

Core paid for all costs. Great customer service!

Hi, the twists in the safety line distorts and puts tension on the white plastic casing. I had the issue after dragging my bar and lines to my kite over long grass when rigging up. The distortion then twists the front lines above and below the SSF. The solution is:- 1) secure the ends of the front lines to a hook 2) go to the bar end tension the frontlines at the same time rotate the plastic casing at the bottom of the QR you will see which way to twist it as the opposite way makes more twists. It takes about 30 seconds to untwist and I've had many sessions since with perfectly straight lines. IMO Core should make a video of this potential problem, as it is a safety issue and could affect the kite releasing and post it on their web site. I guess it could affect all bars which are configured with 2 separate lines going through the bar. Twisting of a single line and depower line can be untwisted vis the swivel on the QR. I'm very pleased with my 2Spro bar and the XR kites and the fix on the very rare occasions the problem arises is easy so no drama.

Do people not manually walk out the lines anymore?

Isn’t that an utter basic?

unwind the lines, Walk up the lines to the kite removing any twists as you go

Isn’t it user responsibility to do this and ensure everything is functioning correctly BEFORE they need it?

Of course but walking up the lines does not clear the twists. The twists above the SSF are caused by the distortion and tension within the white plastic casing of the safety line below the SSF. So when the front lines are tensioned even if they are straight when you connected them to the kite they will twist above the SSF. Think of a closed loop like an elastic band, twist the band on one side and tension it the twists will remain. The only way to remove the twists are to manually rotate one side of the band.

What do you mean ?
There is a bearing under the chickenloop so there will not be any twists anymore.
Haven't had this issue with my S2 pro bar either, the new chickenloop the 'safety line' is going through straight now, i could see this issue on the S2 bar which that chickenloop has a bend in it.

Had an issue with the safetyline got stuck but you have to clean it every session it's a 2 second job really, get the line a bit out and clean the plastic casing.
