I have 2 of these bars it's one of my favorite bar it's comfy and ligth and you flip the bar ends in a second and you go from small bar to big bar. Great for traveling . The defective chicken loop was recalled and swapped for the blade chicken loop that is proven and reliable. I have a lot of usage on my bars like over 100 sessions they work perfect. On one of the 2 bars I had to tighten the screw a few times. Many people around here also use those bars with no issues.

You can probably find one on eBay eventually it doesn't matter if it's beaten up that particular part won't be worn down.

A foil friend lost a kite cause of shit quality L F bar!
We will never know what happened because kite and bar flew out to sea never to be seen again, at least for us for now.
He had feeling c loop broke, then leash connection gave way, disclaimer, was very windy and super gusty but still.....
No wonder L F gets out of the kite market. :bye:

Just be aware that the response bar had a manufacturing problem.
That the quick release would just go off if you were bending down.
I know they replaced a whole lot of them.
So just don't bend to far to grab your board etc.
Apart from that good bar.
I don't see how I could put myself in that situation. It seems pretty secure to me.

Well, I couldn't find the part anywhere and couldn't get anybody to commit to actually 3D printing it. So, I made one myself. Its somewhat crude but, it works and it is much better than going to homedepot and putting a washer in there.

does new part still allow the bar-end adjustment? doesnt that depend on pushing the tangs down? also i saw two of these bars for <100 on ikitesurf the other day fyi..

I could modify the piece so the tabs would flex in order to spin the bar end although I dont use this bar other than in the larger setting. I suppose if I was going to travel and only wanted to carry one bar I would do that. I didnt see the point in making the part any less stable for my needs. Otherwise I could just unscrew that side and spin it.

I did apply red locktite to both bar ends though. If I had done this to begin with, I would not have lost the part.
