Looking for a shell but not rock solid.

The 2021 Riot 9 is now a part-hardshell. The Apex 8 is the same shape as the Vertex, but more supportive like the Riot 9 (both have the part-hardshell). There's also a Apex Curv 13 if you want a bit more support, but still not "rock solid". I'm currently using the Riot 14 and it's a medium stiff+ harness. Avoid Ion's carbon Riot if you do not want a stiff harness.
