Anyone experience with a rip curl flash bomb or e-bomb zip free 4/3? I read it's the f is really warm. thiniking of getting one for cape town in Dec. Water is pretty cold around 15 degrees celsius, air around 25 and 30kn wind. I'm skinny rather freezy guy. So I thought get an fbomb, but i'm also bit worried of gettin overcooked in an f, so may rather aim at the e-bomb. Any experience, thoughts be great? thx!

4/3 is most used. This season was my girlfriend's first experience of water less than 28oC as she is from Camocim in Brazil! Despite looking for the penguins and icebergs she stays warm while surfing and kiting in Ripcurl E7 E-Bomb 4/3
She found using booties helps a lot (O'Neill Heat Ninja 3mm) so that could be another option if you get cold feet. 5/4 or flashbomb is overkill though I think - I personally kite and surf in 3/2 all season including in some colder waters further south of Blouberg on the peninsula and I'm fine. Hope that helps.

You can wear anything in blouberg when it is blasting 30+ knots with plenty of people around to help you when things go bad. I had a 5/3 flashbomb and that was a bit warm but I was crashing lots and never felt too warm in blouberg. In langebaan/shark bay I would've preferred a 3/2. Sometimes the water was freezing cold and sometimes it wasn't too bad. If I was to buy a do it all wetty it would be a 4/3 flashbomb, love that thing.

Flash Bomb is a better suit, you have to get used to getting in and out of a no-zip.
Flash Bomb will dry faster.

Flashbomb is a great suit and I really like the zip free.

I was down there mid nov. with a 4/3 Flash bomb. It's plenty of rubber. good for Bloubourg & Witsand, a bit overkill for Langebaan.
Never even close to cold.
