I just noticed this issue with my Gen 2 LF Solo kite today.
They include a self rescue handle on the wing tips and inside the handle they have a PVC tube. This tube is secured on one end of the handle to the kite and inside a fabric sheath that encompasses it. The tube managed to wear through the fabric on the non secured end and stick out. This creates a very serious risk for catching lines and bridals which might cause the kite to loop on it's own (this is not related to my recent video, even though it is the same kite).
My fix was to force the tube out as far as possible and snip it off about 1/2 way then put it back in the sheath.

Never realized those were self-rescue handles. Always thought they were there to prevent the bridle from hooking the wingtip.

Due to this and MANY other Liquid Force shady marketing AND simply bad quality products might explain why they
exit the kite market?
