1: How long is your drive to the kite Session (one way)?
2: how long is your kiting Session?
3: How exhausted are you after the Session?
1: 1 min ocean, 15 min lagoon
2: 1-3 hours
3: a bit tired, but happy
Are you settled in Brazil now Toby?
As it does not sound like Germany, with a lagoon

Better weather here in Brazil.
Nothing bet to go kiting at 5 am with only a t shirt.

10 minutes for SE to NO.
10 minutes for O to NE
40 minutes for East but it's pretty rare.
And normally 3, 4 hour trips to the Caribbean a year but not so much lately...

1. 15 minutes drive.
2. 1 to 3 hours or more. Depends on the wind...
3. Foiling -- a little tired. TT etc -- tired and a little stiff the next day -- really depends how often I can get out.

1.5 hours to spot
1-3 hours buggy
1-7 days recovery
I work evenings, so if i'm planning a session then i probably get little or no sleep the night before as i get home from work around midnight, do checklist into early hours.
If it is winter in the UK then daylight is short, so if lucky only one tide is rideable during daylight hours. This can mean not sleeping the night before as i must leave home at 5am.
Much longer daylight hours during summer means I can catch the second tide and ride into the evening, therefore i get a long lay in bed before session and be much less tired.
Heavy bar pressure means arms and shoulders, fingers hips and ribs can ache for 48 hrs and even up to a week depending on wind strength.
but always worth it.

1: 2 up to 3.5 hrs - depending on spot (wind direction)
2: 3-5 hrs (more than 3 hours I typically mix TT to Waveboard)
3: pretty exhausted
I have one lake where I can occasionally catch wind.
1. 70minutes
2. typically 2 Hours.
3. not very exhausted
So pretty much like TO

Summer;
20 minute drive to 2 different spots
1.5-3 hours depending upon wind and current injury status
tired but happy, hot tub cold beer helps
Winter;
2 minute drive
1.5-3 hours depending as above
tired but happy, as above

I live in northeast of Brazil, here even in winter we can go kiting using only T-shirt UV protection, it's not necessary have a Neoprene.
