For Water:
Travel 23 min, 1 hour each way, depending on the spot
Ride for 1 to 4 hours
Tired after sesh but not into next day.
For Snow:
Travel 1 hr 15 min or 2 hr depending on the spot
Ride for at least 2 hours unless wind is too punchy
Tired into next day early season, getting used to the altitude, not at all mid way through season on

3hrs one way. boat launch for session. each about 1-1/2 long. 2-3 depending on length of day/water temp/air temp. Desert conditions summer and thick wetsuit winter. Hate/hate/hate the donning of the wetsuit for the second session in the winter. 3hrs home. Exhausted

Distance: variable, I like diversity of spots.
Duration: usually fairly long, 3 to 5hrs+ (including a break or two if its an all-day kind of session).
Result: generally pretty beat, followed by euforia, then feeling like a well-used rubber band the next morning, but regaining normalcy by noon or so.

1. 100m walk pulling a hand cart.
2. 2hrs average including rigging
3. Exhausted - sometimes have a nap after, growing old is a bitch. But rarely stops me kiting the following day.
Alternatives are 20min and 60min drive to cover non prevailing wind direction. Occasionally have a land session after a water session if conditions go that way. Often people say I am lucky but my reply is no I planned it that way. Can skate & MTB local but have to drive to kite with skateboard.
Kiting Atlantic weather systems.

Water 40 to 90 minutes. I ride 5 different spots
Ride for 2 to 3 hours
Tired only if the wind is strong
Snow 75 minutes to 2 hours
Ride for 3 to 6 hours
Tired only on the longer sessions
Between snow & water average about 150 to 200 sessions per year. Rode a lot more in 2020.

As I have a caravan near the coast, it is a weekend trip for me. If a look 5 years back, I barely missed a weekend during 4-5 months of kite season.
1. 4 Hours driving one way (350km)
2. Depends on conditions, but on average 2 to 5 hours per day.
3. Nice evenings with a sip of rum near the campfire with 0 energy left
