Jesse Richman | Episode # 195
What a great guy !!!! He is truly inspiring.
When you ask him how he feels about his injury, he answered : "Happy" !!! He could be pissed, angry, nervous, stressed... but he consider himself lucky and happy. He is able to take a step back and view his situation in comparison with other and despite his injury, he's enjoying life.
I want to learn how to react this way !!

On another point, I was surprised with his answered when you asked him about the KOTA. It's like he's not so interested in competition, crowd, winning and prefer riding for himself and for fun. Coming November, and considering this answer, I wouldn't be surprise if he leaves his spot (maybe to Lewis who was 1st reserve). But North won't feel the same way...

Thank you for your podcast Adrian and happy new year !

Good interview

The first few weeks are the easy bit but still keeping a positive attitude is absolutely essential.

Never forget that surgeons are like dentists - they like to do surgery because they get paid a lot for it! They really see you as a piece of meat!
So choose carefully - always see sports specialists if you can. It is a hard time to get second opinions but worth it.

The body can do a great job of healing itself without surgery, well actually a better job if it all comes together.

What are you saying, LWC? That a broken leg should be left to heal on its own? That my completely severed supraspinatus tendon in my rotator cuff should be left to heal itself, when it had already retracted by 2 cm and the muscle was degenerating? That my wife's multiply fractured wrist should not have been fixed with a titanium plate, just left to heal whatever way it could? What about the knees and ankles of innumerable kiters who have had them repaired by surgeons? Just how to you expect those broken part to "all come together"? I don't understand.
