Of course, he's selling, can't launch a kite on that rocky steep shoreline :o
Or you launch it on the lawn and side jump down to the water
(At least looks like the house level is quite high, good then Antarctica melts and water rises 60 meters)

Robby recently explained how he got where he is over the last 45 years.
Really enjoyed that interview. There are some great comments explaining, why we all love this so much, be it kiting, windsurfing, winging. For him these are really fun sports, the competitive element plays a minor role: "...this is not about one guy beating the other guy..." and "... I don´t want to play fucking golf, I want to go windsurfing..."

That part of the article was just mentioning how real estate in Hawaii had increased in value, and even in an area on the big island of Hawaii, another island, which has an active volcano.

Maui’s last eruption was over 200 years ago and on the other side of the island.

This is why kit is so expensive. Wind sports attract millionaires.
so because he has a nice house you write him off as the problem..

his parents were not millionaires he worked, competed, won multiple titles and then put it all into his own company, no bank loans no investment partnerships, his cash, his name above the door.

if over 15 years ago he bought a plot of land built his house on it and through no fault of his, property is now valued so much higher than it used to be? good on him.
It was merely an observation. I begrudge him nothing. Wind sports, more notably kiteboarding lures the wealthy and attracts the kind of demographic with a good disposable income.
Jet setting off to Cape Town on a whim is not within the scope of your average inner city teenage skateboarder and the market has responded accordingly, as it should.
This is why kit is expensive and why kiteboarding is exclusionary. He is not the problem because there is no problem, unless you're relatively poor like me. Good on him. :thumb:

Maybe his kids grew up and left home so he's looking for something lower maintenance?
