Maybe I got it wrong, but isn't Eleveight releasing their XS version 2 pretty soon? I thought their first version was just released, any thoughts on why this must be?
I'm asking this because I'm going to buy the v1 (second hand) but don't know if they are releasing v2 because the first version had some hiccups.
Thanks!

What we've seen so far was only a prototype, doesn't necessarily mean it's ready and won't be tuned further. Yes it boosts big, but you don't know what did this prototype sacrifice in order to do so. It still might be toned down for user friendliness and stability. And I'm not sure what kinds of "hiccups" does the V1 has, other than "rubbery" feel on the bar and whistling. I say V1 is a very solid kite. Besides, "rubber" bar feeling is not exclusive to XS, some people say that RS has it too and it could be fixed by setting for higher bar pressure on the kite.
So if you have a good offer on V1 then go for it, V2 won't be there till the end of summer.

I have been considering this kite, assuming the best for it, of course. In the meantime, what other kites offer similar traits/performance?

I tried xs9 after two jumps I said no.. don't wait your money, better to try core xr or ozone esge v10
Eleveight have a problem with shape, when is new is pretty good but after few sessions goes worse, stalling and not pulling up as before, same with xs, I can confirm it because I riding 2 seasons already with new fs and rs kites

Ahahah your post smells like free bashing... My friends and I owned couple of XS since August last year, we've been using them a lot and so far no issues at all, I much prefer this kite compared to a XR... even if I admit that XR is a good kite...
