Wanting to get a kite posted from South Africa to uk. Any idea who would be the cheapest most reliable postal service to use?

You might find it cheaper overall to go for a more expensive service that allows you to pay import duty at source. Parcel Farce take a fixed processing fee plus a percentage cut of the duty if its missing - so you can easily end up with an extra £20 and an extra week or two delay for the cheap service.
Either that or make sure the person dispatching marks the value at less than the gift items threshold (about £135 IIRC) though I guess you take your gamble with insurance in case something goes wrong.
