They could've just name it after the kite they don't produce anymore, which is Cruze.

...their kite is not even CLOSE to the performance of the EpicKites Infinity...
so you've obviously flown both...right?!
Now i havent. But i m flying the Infinity since the beggining. It took us more than 7 years to have a kite that flies so nice and you can ask anybody that test it or owns it.
But i suppose using a name of a kite that is already established and successed will give them some extra sales

I think in Europe, except maybe for Greece, Epic isn't that much of an established brand anyways...

regardless of how much you like the Epic Infinity, it's ridiculous to say a competitor's kite is not even close in performance to it if you've never tried it. i get it that you have a problem with the naming of it, but you lose credibility when you make such obviously unsubstantiated claims. that's all.

Just received an email from CrazyFly.
Again the reason I started EPICKITES was to share my passion of kiteboarding with my fellow kiters but having another kite company that makes great boards do what they did is very low class in my book.

Their is no way the guys at Crazy Fly did not know about the INFINITY light wind kite from EPICKITES especially since we started this kite in 2011. All they had to do is GOOGLE search "Infinity Kite". This goes to show you that these guys have no idea about the Kitesurfing industry.

Dimitri, the real question is : "Do you think this situation will harm your business and in what way ?"
I completely understand their position even if it is a mistake and I really think it is unintentional. But they already have produced kites and it is not only a matter of marketing campaign.
And what do you think about :
Slingshot Screamer :

Dakine Renegade :

Hello Baptiste_FR,
This will not harm our business. But it is just a low blow from Crazy Fly for doing what they did especially on a light wind kite model. Using the same name, same color for a kite model that is just low class in my book. I am not talking about boards, or harness or Wings but a same Kite model designed for light wind.
Any way life is too short I wish them all the best. But next time Crazy Fly needs to do a better Market Research.
