Would also love to know, I ve been making mine Out of a Linch pin and a Stainles steel ring

I drill the side of the linch pin to 6mm diameter, then I weld a 5mmthick stailess ring to the side, and then I cut the ring.

This may be an option if you can’t source the pin you want:

Anyone know where to get this metal piece at a good price?

And where CAN you get it, but at a high price, and how much is that?

Since you ask like that...

SKshapes sell them for 40 euro per piece. Planning to switch from ring on bar wichard on harness to this for all my homemade bars, and make 2 leashes. Would end up being 6 x 40 euro in the end. Found from above tip the swage eye terminal online for 3 euro per piece, and plastic balls/shock cord is cheap.

But the swage eye is close but not perfect, hoped these would be sold somewhere:) A lot of companies have had safety pins similar to this one. Have seen it on cabrinha leash, spleene safety and maui boardriding, sk shapes, kitelab and more use it currently.
