Hi, just wondering if anybody has tried replacing a Duotone inflate valve with another type (Boston, etc.)? The blue twist mechanism is no longer working to stop the air from escaping and I need a new one anyway, so figured might try going with something less finicky since it broke after very few sessions on the kite. Just want to make sure the size on one of the others wouldn't be an issue. Love the Duotone kites, hate their valve. THanks in advance for any info.

As mentioned it likely is not broken.
The easy solution to clearing the valve is to inflate the kite and than take a small rounded stick and poke the valve. This should clear it.
This is fairly common.
I have broken a valve once. It actually kept working but I replaced the bladder anyway. There is a replacement valve kit.
Maybe airtime has some options if you really want to replace the valve with something else.

Great, thanks so much for both your replies! I'm surprised that article from wetestkites didn't come up when I originally Googled to try and find a solution. Thx!

Just to be clear, I prefer the inflate the kite and poke the valve method as it blows anything blocking the valve flap out rather then into the bladder.
The rest of the video is spot on,
