which board :)

Postby roggema » Thu Mar 18, 2021 12:19 pm

I'm currently 79kg, 1m78 and running on a Jaime 139.

it's going well, but like to add something to my quiver. the goal is freeride and big air (noobie :) ) and backrolls, frontrolls, future loops, board-offs etc.
Riding on the chop (north see) often.

what would you recommend :) ? or even something else?

kind regards

I'm 80-81kg, 1m76, and have a Lieuwe Shotgun 136x40.5

I've actually had two 136x40.5 Shotguns.

I sold the first one and got another board, but decided that I preferred my 136x40.5 Lieuwe Shotgun so tried to buy it back from the person I sold it to. But he refused to sell it back to me so I had to buy another one.

Same specs here and got the Lieuwe shotgun 136, that beast is made for the North Sea and eats chop!

Our UK South Coast / Eastern Solent chop is pretty much the same crap as you get, Shotgun has a very nice combination of rocker, flex, and channels.

I think the Carbonara is a bit stiffer than the Shotgun, no way I want a stiffer board for sure. See above.

+1 lieuwe shotgun 133.
Feels bigger than my 2015 monk of same size. Less skatey, slightly slower, less pop, far better shock absorption on the rough sea.
If you're young and your knees dont hurt after a session try the shinn monk and the ronson too.

Bought myself a 136 shotgun. Very good session yesterday.

Good news very absorbing on the waves. And front tip doesn t catch so much in water as my Jaime.

Very satisfied from the board. Have to get to know it better :p
