Hi. A surfshop gave me, as a gift, a new red North PIQ (not the Duotone). Unfortunately the PIQ server is not longer on line so without an activation code (via sms) I cannot connect It to the app. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
Cheers
Carlo
What a service
it's basically worthless...There were soe rumours Duotone was going to take over the servers to keep it alive for existing customers but then it went silent.....

huh I don't get this one? Give a customer a Piq that you can't use anymore does not helps anyone but just raise expectations?

For everyone who bought one of these devices; the company really should open source the software. What are they going to do with it?

Has anyone found a workaround. I'm signed out of app and can't get back in
So have a £150 lump of useless, but actually nothing wrong with it, plastic. I'm pretty upset that they didn't leave us with an offline solution before shutting shop.
To the board of execs showing on the still up piq website.. up yours

Can you download something from PIQ via USB? Or how does sync work? Via mobile app over bluetooth? I've re-engineered Recon Instruments and Xensr data - they are not that complicated. Then output data as GPX-file.
Just use tool like:

Yes it syncs via Bluetooth but without the app signed in I can't get data off it.
Have tried Bluetooth pairing it but that gets me nowhere.
I think it's unusable unless some hacks the app
Really sh1t that the company did not remove the app login and leave the app purely as a way to sync the sensor.
They took the money and ran...

PIQ was aware of their diificult situation long before stopping the service.
Maybe the batteries issues was the main problem ?
I have contacted Duotone and the CEO Cedric Mangaud about the source code
https://www.linkedin.com/in/cedricmanga ... bdomain=be
I'll keep this forum posted.

I had an answer from Cedric Mangaud saying that he's the former CEO and cannot help.
The new one seems to be Ongan Mordeniz
https://www.linkedin.com/in/onganmordeniz/
I have contacted him.

Is there any progress on this?
I hope we donot have to scrap the device.
