Core has "sand crushing ceramic bearings." Whatever that means...

Wainman makes a very nice ceramic bearing [above the bar] swivel. However, I'm convinced that somehow I had a bar issue [worst death loop I've ever experienced] which was caused by a line getting into the gap between the two rotating pieces and jamming. The gap is wide enough to not trap sand and allow for water flushing, but I suspect the gap is so wide that it allows a line to get jammed into it. I tried the Wainman swivel, in response to a Switch swivel which was not living up to its name. The Wainman swivel always spun freely and never fouled with sand. After my death loop episode, I went back to spinning the below the bar swivel and used a SS Surefire clutch instead of an an above the bar swivel.
All my current bars, production and modified, use the SS Sentinel safety system, which does not have an above the bar swivel. Older versions of the Sentinel bar had an above swivel, but that was removed in the last generation. I wonder if that swivel also had the same problem of jamming or was just too costly?

Ventum Tough Bar V2 has ceramic ball bearing in the QR swivel.
When properly cleaned/maintained it auto-untwists on low V bars.
