Re: 12m RPX
I've had two sessions on the kite. First session was 14-20 mph. Second session was 10-15. Closest thing in my quiver to compare it to was/is the last generation of the 12m Liquid Force NV. Compared to that kite, seems to turn faster and have a smoother power delivery. Overall the kite seems more 'slippery' and has a higher climbing rate, most noticeable in lighter wind. I was impressed how well it glided thru lulls at the bottom of its wind range. No trailing edge flutter and only canopy flutter in the front when luffing. Don't know how much the simplified panel layout reduced the weight, but according to my scale, the kite only [no bag] weight was 7.8 lbs [3.53 kg]. It's a keeper.
Ciao, - Barry

Flew the 12m RPX in Hatteras about a month ago now. Flew it alongside a 2021 Bandit and my well worn 2018 Dice, all 12m.
All three kites are pretty similar. Jumps, loops, and power delivery are largely comparable. On a scale/spectrum, it feels like the Dice is on one end and the Bandit is on the other, with the RPX in the middle. Dice feels more explosive and technical, Bandit most forgiving and smooth. That is to say Dice seems to react most to load and pop, while Bandit has a larger but more gentle sweet spot. However, that is an attempt to categorize three very similar kites. Both the Bandit and the RPX did not flutter through heliloops, while the Dice did. An RPM I flew years ago was noticeably spongier than all three.
Basically, the RPX feels much like a Dice and Bandit, which I find much better than the old RPM. Given Slingshot tends to discount their kites heavily every year when new models come out, a new year-old RPX may be my next purchase to replace my preferred but more expensive Dice.

Thanx for info.Would be curious how much different it performs compared the 2019 -20 rpm.I noticed a difference in those 2 years over the various other year rpms i've owned. I fly a mix of 2019 and 2020 rpms presently.

Re: RPX being lighter than the RPM
I don't have a 12M RPM, to weigh in comparison to the RPX, but my 12M Liquid Force NV weighs 7.7 lbs [3.48 kg]. The NV is a 'school' version, which I believe is built with 2X ripstop.
Per my previous reply, 12M RPX weighs 7.8 lbs [3.53 kg].
So, the new RPX is probably built lighter than any previous generation of the RPM, but the weight is still in the range typical of other 3-strut kites. It isn't a stripped-down lightweight, which I'm fine with. For my intended [non-foiling] use, I'd rather have a slightly overbuilt kite than a fragile one.

I use my 9m RPX all the time on my foil. I'm not doing much but cruising around though.
The RPX flies pretty much the same as the 2019+ RPM's but with no flapping in loops

Does the RPX have some improvements in boosting and Hangtime compared to the 2019 RPM? I've been riding RPM since 2015 and I want to update my quiver (9 and 12). I am quite confused about slingshot still selling the RPX V1 (2021). They have presented the whole new 2023 lineup, but no news about the RPX.
