it doesnt appear that they put it on anything important structurally to me. looks like pure marketing. but what do i know.
Have a look at what many kite designers do to stiffen their struts - they will run one or two strips of nylon or polyester webbing down the underside of the strut ( the side under tension during powered-up flight ) to stiffen the strut and maintain its aerodynamic shape.
Don't have numbers but expect a strip of 82 gsm Aluula would be lot stiffer and lighter than webbing.
Haven't seen yet where on an OR HL kite they have put Aluula but would expect it's done to stiffen the LE in span-wise bending without hindering the torsional deflection needed for steering.

Interesting... But why make a kite less good than a full aluula kite?
Ah yeah... price...

The HL Crave jumps better than the Aluula Roam in both height and hang time, but it's still not in the league with pure boosters like the XR6/Edge/Rebel etc.

And how's the drift of the Crave for foiling? Seems like it might be the do it all HL kite for those of us who like to twin tip (and jump), foil, and ride a surfboard on occasion.

Please compare the Crave to the prodigy as I have a lot of time on the prodigy.
