i don't kitesurf , but i hit a thermal once landboarding in an onshore cold wind with my blade3 10.5, i was riding along quite close to the dunes and it was a hot day and the heat from the dunes and the land was hot , mixed with the cold onshore and i went for one jump and i just went straight up really high ,not the normal flying tru the air movement in a normal jump , that grabbed my attention pretty sharpish , lol
