How much do you weigh?
72kg
I’d assume 8m would be your favorite boosting kite then, or if you want more lowend then 9-10m. I’d pick a nice structured delta like XR, Pivot or classic Rally if you can find one for boosting/TT kite.
Foiling can utilize same quiver and I’ve been of Rallys as a “single model covers it all” but UFOs are just too great to foil with. At whitecaps (16 knots) and slightly below you should be able to foil on 5m, under 10 knots wants a 9 but you want proper line.

So 7/9 UFOs (or 7/10 Kaupers) plus 8 or 9 Pivot/XR for boosting.

My 75kg friend boosts 8m on 30kn.

Im on 9m Ultra up to 25kn, 59kg

Have no idea how would anyone 'boost' 8m LEI on less than 30kn. Maybe on HF ;)

On 30 Im on 7m Edge.

Ultra is a boosting machine which matches Edge in good hands. Edge IS better, but the price is 2.5x of Ultra, even second hand. Edge or any other does not boost 2.5x higer ;)

Ultras all the way. One can buy 5 for 2 Soul prices. And maintenance is cheaper than any other kite being 1 strut. Some claim 6m Soul, while others claim LEI on 30kn. They are right, Soul is a niche on +30kn, rare as hens teeth.

What do you guys think of
9m ufo for light wind , flat
5 m peak , for medium wind and waves
And 10m evo sls for tt ?

What's the button range of the 9m ufo ?
And bars can fit or would I need 3 bars ?

+1 for the 9m UFO for lightwind. It still gets you going in 9-10kts like a giant one strut but is actually fun to fly and will stay in the air if the wind drops for a bit. After flying the UFO you won't want to use anything else. I've heard lots of good things about peaks, just make sure you've got a location that lends itself to a foil kite, also, also get some laps in at the pool to prepare for the inevitable swim.

if it helps, I'm rocking a 7m apollo and a 9m UFO for foiling (eventually it'll be a 5 or 7m UFO). I have a 9m moto and a 12m NV for TT, 7m apollo works in really high winds too. I've also go a 14m apollo for when I really want to TT in 16kts-ish and also performs sort of like my chrono when I want to practice going fast on the foil but gets overpowered very quickly. I would also swap to the moto in around 15kts+ on the foil for jumping - the only thing the UFO doesn't do is jump. This gets me out on the water to do whatever I want from 10-35kts on foil, TT, or my surfboard.

20in bar should be fine for everything in this range. I like flying the UFO's with a bigger bar.

5-9 is a big gap. 9 UFO will easily take you to steady 8 knots and 5 UFO can cover 12-25 knots, but the gap is too big in my opinion.
Don’t do peak. Good kite, yet the water relaunch, or rather swim ins will not be fun.

One 50cm bar would do for all. I use a separate, lighter bar setup for foiling but a single bar would suffice.

Here's mine.

12m chrono 6-15 knots foil
10m edge 18-25 knots mutant
8m enduro 10-20 knots foil, 20-35 knots mutant
6m reo 16-25 knots foil, 25-40 knots mutant
4m uno 20- 35foil. 35 to stupid mutant.

As you can see the 8m does a wind range of 10-35 knots. There's a cross over in the 20 knot range where i'm over gunned on the foil and undergunned on the mutant of the 8. Thats were the 10 edge and the 6reo come in.

If foiling is 80+% of your kiting you owe it to yourself to get dedicated kites. Speaking only about free riding:

Peak4 is IMO the best option, followed by strutless and if your lame you can get single strut. 2 kites should do. 6/5 or 5/4 or even 6/4. Those are Peak4 sizes. For tubes....10/7.

Then you need a killer 9m tube. Pivot would be my choice. Can go 9 or 9&7 to cover up to 35 knots.

Boom, done.
Yes I definitely owe it to myself :)

Do you think this setup cover the low wind range , 8-11 knots ?
Probably great advice. I do not know the Peak4 so I have no foundation for comparison with the slash, but if you are looking at the pivot using the slash for foiling is great...bonus is that it has a very very similar bar feel to the pivot and it is definitely not boring to ride on a TT.

i currently ride

15m ozone chrono v4 for sub 15kts TT and foil. really enjoy the foil kite for hangtime on TT and being able to kite in practically no wind on my foil.
8m + 11m ozone edge v10 for TT and foil >15kts amazing depower, lift and float. 8m also loops very well and i love it on foil in medium winds.

the 11m i can ride up to 30kts and 8m up to 40kts. so basically with 8 and 11 together with TT and foil i can ride in pretty much every condition thanks to their excellent depower. still have a 7m north evo for big days >35/40kts.

enjoy the ride!

If you want larger gap - get Kauper kites in 7 and 10m sizes to cover all of your foiling range. A local friend has 5/7/9 and is happy

Mam latawce Reedin supermodel 7,9,10.
Te latawce są naprawdę wszechstronne :naughty:
Używam ich do Big air oraz pływania na falach.
Gdy słabiej wieje 9 i 10 używam do foila. Te latawce są lekkie, dobrze dryfują oraz łatwo go podnieść gdy wpadnie do wody :jump:

Pozdrawiam :bye:
