Dice v Pivot (8-10m-ish)

Postby brighamj » Sat Apr 10, 2021 10:33 pm

Have any of you ridden both of these kites, the Dice and Pivot, in a size around 8-10m? The current model year is ideal, of course. I’d really appreciate some insight into the similarities and differences between the two. Thanks in advance!

I ride the Pivot but have never ridden the Dice. However, you are comparing different kite concepts, hybrid-c shape and delta-ish. The common pairing would be Dash vs Dice and Pivot vs Evo.
It starts with the wind range: 8m Pivot is comparable with 9m Dice, etc.

Choose the dice if you are doing handle passes. The pivot is friendlier for free riding boosting and kiteloop. The dice tugs quite a bit on loops. As said above the kites serve different markets. Evo vs pivot is a better comparison. Hopefully I get to demo all the 2021 gear this year as covid winds down. Haven't tried the new evo or dash

Thank you both. This makes sense. I appreciate the feedback.

i have ridden both in 10m. i liked both. i like pivot better. its a easier to jump. feels like it has more camber. both have nice feel, quick, light bar pressure, all-around. actually makes sense to me to compare them. im can barely loop in a jump, but the pivot pulls pretty good i thought.
