The DaKines I've been using are discontinued.
I'm aware of the Ride Engine rope spreader.
I'm leaning toward the Mystic rope spreader but wish the rope attachment points were wider apart.
Anything else? I'm looking for the max sliding range I can fit between a medium harness. I barely get away with the 10" DaKine bar.

Brunotti with their slider "extension" to replace hook, or DIY to remove hook.

Add ION and Cabrinha to the list. My current fave is the ION C-bar 3.0.

Imo Mystic's Clickerbar 4.0 Surf would offer the most amount of "sliding range". The reason for this is the s-bar can be positioned for either Regular or Goofy stance riding which extends the range of sliding motion to favor that stance position.

Other than that, I'm like SMJ and prefer Ion's C-Bar 3.0. I really like the locking mechanism and the slider is a Dyneema webbing vs rope. They also have a new one coming available with wings and a lock-out mini loop like Mystic's Stealth bar.

Has anybody already tried to wax the rope with a candle, so that the chicken loop can slide smoother?

install one of these on the rope, then chicken loop sits in the groove and slides so smoothly

Will quickrelease still work or is the chickenloop too tight in the ring?
And noby tried to wax the rope?

Quick release works just fine with a chicken loop.
Can't say I ever tried wax on the rope.
You can make the sliders a bit more safe / chicken loop friendly by adding an SMC climbing ring like I did on this Mystic Stealth spreader:

What is the benefit of this ring. It seems, that the loop isn't able to slide?!
