Not sure why folks say it is slow? Te XR7 11m Is quite close to the speed of a Reedin Super model 9m. Crisp, great bar feeling, feels light at the end of the lines. Faster than Rebel and more stable than Evo (I have not tried the SLS), the kite stays where you left it so very good for rotations, you are never stuck with a kite in the wrong side of the window, great improvement from the XR6, lighter and crisper, not black and white difference.
Sorry, an 11m XR is not remotely similar to any 9m, let alone a SuperModel 9m.

Yes, the XR7 is more responsive than an XR6. But that's like saying an 18 wheeler from 2021 is more responsive than one from 1992. Don't get me wrong - the XR is the easiest/highest jumping kite on the market, but lets not exaggerate any more than necessary :).
oh jeez! let him soak honeymoon/recently spent loads of money on kite gear period :D

By the way not suggesting they had to change the XR a with a lot. Incremental changes makes sense I guess - and at least they are not pumping out a new version every year.
You have to admit something, they do say on their website that it is marginally lighter… it is 8% lighter Duotone makes a Big Bang around the SLS for 15%. But try one, it is much crisper than the XR6, Evo or the Rebel but not as responsive as the Dice, Nexus or GTS of course. It depends what you compare.

I found the Super model 9m very slow for its size. But you must be right, I think the Supermodel is heavier on the bar than the XR 7 and I must have got confused. One thing is sure, the Dice 13m is quicker than the XR7 11m. 11m vs 9m makes no sense.

Some people complain slow turning but wtf who cares if you are lit.
Waiting for the 7s! Just because I can :)
Have you played with the settings at all to try and help it speed up? I am short days into mine and it definitely is sloooow. If so, do you have a favorite combo? Thanks.
Avoid the freestyle setting on the CIT, makes it more stable, deeper in the window, less depower and I think slower from my Nexus experience. If it is setup at the fastest setting, it Might just not be your kite. If you want speed, I would stay away from the 5 struts altogether and anything high aspect. It depends what you compare it too? Reedin? Orbit? Wave kites? GTS? Dice?

mmm , I had the Reedin supermodel 11 and 9 m , Orbit 2020 and 2021 in 12 , 10 and 8 m and now the Rebel 2021 9 and 7 m ( + Dice 12 m ) all in a period of 1,5 year .
I am a averidge kiter ( double bankroll ,deadman , darkslide , frontroll , 15m jump ) never unhook ( 53 y old ) and this is my experience with all of these kites .
The Reedin is a faster kite with not a lot of bar pressure , perfect for freestyle and kite loop but not a " big air " kite . The Orbit is a bit slower kite with lite bar pressure , a blend between a Reedin and a rebel , loops are good , but you get to know the kite to get everything out of it . The drift is the weak point and in my opinion not the kite for lite wind days . The rebel is my standard kite from 2019 , I had all the versions until 2021 . For me it is a very good fine tuned Big air kite . I can not think that there will be many people who don't like a Rebel !
I did test the XR7 in 11m and 9 m . Did not like the 11m because of the bar pressure ( I don't like heavy bar pressure ) but the 9 m was a surprise , so I ordered a 9 and 7 m . The XR7 is a very easy kite , that has a bit more lift and hangtime compare to the Rebel in my opinion , but I wil test them intensive when they arrive . I will try them first on my duotone clickbar .
I have also a 11, 9 and 7 Naish Pivot 2021 and they are ( except the 12m ) very nice kites , more power than the Reedin with bar pressure between Rebel and Core for people who like a faster kite and kite loops . The build Quality of the Naish is very good and the inflate / deflate the best on the market today !

So that is MY OPINION about those kites , and I believe that every kiter is different and may prefer a different kite ! There is not a thing as " the best kite " only " the best kite for me "
Enjoy Mother Nature :-)

Is anybody using their XRs with a different bar than the Core bar? Already for a while I really like the kite, I just cannot stand the bar (also not the new one). Last week I saw a guy who was using an Ozone bar (without split modification) with his XR and when we chatted a bit about it, he mentioned he didn't feel any difference, however, he said he was a casual, intermediate rider who was not sure he could even feel the difference if there was any.

Any insights from others who use bars with a low V in combination with the XR? :)

I do not understand why, but switching from my Clickbar to Core’s bar really made a huge difference with my XR. It just became so much better!

Hi Martijn , did you use the small clicker on the XR7 9 and 7 m2 ? or the medium bar . Because I did try my small click bar on my 12m Dice and the kite did not fly well anymore , the same with the medium bar on my 9 m Rebel , it did not felt good .
Have to decide if I sell my click bar and take a sensor 3 pro bar instead !
