Try saying it again, but with more words.

They’ll come around.

How about you help me out and write out your own understanding of a probability in 1 occurence, vs probability in a set.

Regarding the above saying, I do not think it means what you think it means.

But I will happily take the hit by the board, because guess what? I did. Not once. This is all superficial compared to being dragged over the rocks. Imagine MattV surviving rocks with a helmet but being left paraplegic from the waist down! Now that would be interesting! That would be a death of kiteforum. Or Internet.
Wow! Never have I seen a better tell of a person's character than saying it would be "interesting" for another person to become paralyzed.
.
.
Is more acceptable "break a leg?" :naughty:

It was mentioned so many times that you did not have any injuries yet. Good. So, with not knowing how is in the bed after injury and how is learning how to walk again you are picking in a dark. So what is THAT saying about a person's character? I would be really biased if being injured many times. And I am biased imo. But in a totally opposite way.

Bille posted a pic with no helmet. What to say? Guilty as charged? You did not put him on a Cross for his (wrong? right?) doing. He COULD trip over on landing and blackout. But he did not. And you/we just don't know if the rocks were everywhere on landings. Even tho, would I (Bille) be scared of the rocks? I would not.

Remember, you are accusing people of many many things (idiots, etc). So you could ALSO use "bit more acceptable way." - but you chose not to. And man, you are using the language skills a lot. No one, and I mean no one but a few can compete with that.

You are like Socrates, but not willing to accept death.

Mr. Death V

That helmet of yours is squashing your brain.

Read better.

We have no rocks anywhere to bang heads on.

We don't get dragged on our belly or back head first.

We will detach from kite immediately.

Helmets are not necessary at our location.

People like us don't close kite spots.

People like us don't end up dead.

People like us don't set a bad example to others.

What is wrong with you ?

Oh yeah.....where to start ??

Hmmmmm.

I've had lots of "do overs" as in losing time kiting because I was hurt. I don't know where you think you read that I haven't been injured. Could you provide me with a reference?

Snow kiting I've had bad landings from gliding, one of which I likely had a minor concussion. I've also messed up an ankle kite snowboarding - it's amazing how much torque you can put on an ankle when the board is stuck!

Land boarding, I was unable to snowkite for a month and a half, and could not put on ski boots for a year and a half after that. I figured out the hard way, that landboarding in gusty inland winds is not worth risking your knees and ankles.

Surfing, I've been dazed by the board (no helmet there).

SUP surfing I've been hit with a shot to the ribs with the board that gave me that fun "hard to breath" feeling for a solid month. Funny, I had my hands protecting my head at the time, and the surf was way bigger than ideal for that board.

Kiteskimboarding I managed to find a Richter anchor burried in a sand bar with 3cm of water over it. Elbow wrist and ribs were bad enough for me to take some time off there too.

Kite surfing in waves, I've busted ankles, and am just now able to kite without a knee brace after 3 years.

Flat water kiting (including outside of the break), I've re-injured my ankles.

So yeah, I've had lots of regular kiting injuries that required time off. But this is a conversation about helmets. And I am pretty sure the helmet has saved me for this exact conversation with you at least once snowkiting. There is the possibility that it has saved me 2 times in the break from a light weight kitesurfboard (North Whip, Slinhshot Coupe), as the contact to my helmet did disorient me and require board repair. Just to head you off at the pass, no I do not use a leash.

So as worked up as you "helmet deniers" are, I bet you really hate helmets keeping me alive for this conversation with you. If I didn't wear a helmet, there is a chance you would mostly have the floor to yourselves.

Is the hard packed sand at mid to low tide hard enough to ride a narrow tired bike on?

FYI There are many helmet "deniers":

https://www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Kit ... -freestyle

Some of the best riders in AU commented there.

I guess u are not interested so do not bother reading it. Other ppl might. Draw your own conclusions.

And no, its not about me or you at all. Its about readers and spreading fear amongst them...
