Flexural stress induced failure is a great reason to never use aluminum in parts that flex/bend. Steel is much more resistant and can be counted on in most cases, forever.
Don't let the mtb bike industry know that! God forbid that they know that what they've been confidently relying on for 30+ years is a dysfunctional material. :naughty:
Aerospace did the same and some high profile accidents shed light on the material properties that were overlooked initially. Now we have regular maintenance/replacement of certain aluminum components on aircraft.

However, falling off of a bicycle isn't really comparable to an airplane falling apart.

NP aluminum spreader bar is on the market since almost a decade (also windsurfing) and I haven't heard of a single snapped hook. It had other issues like chafing the webbing and for that reason they made them replaceable at some point.

That's cool! Aluminum can be done right. But it does not have the same capabilities as steel in applications where flex is a main consideration.

And its somewhat obvious that certain shapes in certain loading application can be optimized to reduce flexural stresses. But steel is much more versatile shape wise than aluminum, and much less care needs to be taken in design geometry, with steel.

I've emailed them twice to understand where on earth can i find the freeride spreader bar with fixed ring.

Never received an answer.

I've been using the ride engine Saber V1 and Prolimit vapor.
Had mystic harnesses majestic x before and will never buy again.
I've had awesome customer service from ride engine.
Maybe bite the bullet and grab another harness brand.
IMO the Prolimit wetsuits are the best on the market as well.
If you don't want the stealth the standard kitesurfing hook should do the job.
It does dig in a bit when really doing a straight leg grab indy but it doesn't snap as easy by the sounds of the complaints flooding in here and on the kiteboarding group FB page.
Hopefully you get sorted out 🤞✌️

I would have gotten the Vapor Barloc in stead of the Majestic, if it wasn't for that easily triggered release system. That spreader bar is extremely solid.

Yes I got the barloc had the fatbar previously both awesome but the barloc is the best design around atm.
The ride engine Unity is awesome but you will have to try it on before buying if you want it as comfortable as possible as the measurements are out a bit on them if ordered online.
With Prolimit online ordering just waist size and fits perfectly.

I have emailed Mystic 3 times in the past 2 years, never received a reply, arrogant motherf*! Mega frustrating from a company where half of my savings go to..
The only reason why I am now testing other brands.

I just contacted them via their webform I don't have much hope but the more people doing this the more they cannot ignore it.
At the moment I am pretty much done with their gear though.
I have a few things from them and they are all failing way before their expected life.

Try social media. That usually works for other companies that ignore all mails.
